Public Indian Sites of Alabama

Sequoyah Caverns

 


Named for Chief Sequoyah, who wrote Cherokee alphabet. "Looking-glass lakes," Rainbow Falls, towering stalagmites give appearance of underground palace. Cave temperature stays approx. 60 degrees year-round. Located off I-59 north of Valley Head.
